Coworking & Remote Work on Koh Phangan
Updated: July 2026

Phangan isn't Bali or Chiang Mai in terms of nomad infrastructure, but it's grown up a lot β reliable fibre internet, a handful of proper coworking spaces, and a genuine community of people working online while living here full-time.
Coworking spaces
Centerpoint Coworking (Thong Sala) β central location, fast internet, workstations and meeting rooms. Easy walking distance from the ferry pier and banks. See our Centerpoint page for details.
Secret Place Coworking β beachfront setting with a more relaxed, laptop-on-the-terrace vibe, also covered on the Centerpoint page.
Beyond dedicated spaces, plenty of cafes in Srithanu double as informal coworking spots β good wifi and people quietly working on laptops is the norm there, not the exception.
Internet reality check
- Fibre broadband is standard in most rented apartments and villas built or renovated recently β ask your landlord about the connection before committing to a monthly stay if calls are critical to your work
- 4G/5G mobile data is a solid backup β see our SIM card guide
- Power outages happen, more often in rainy season (MayβNovember) β a coworking space or cafe with backup power is worth it for anything with a hard deadline
Where nomads actually live
Srithanu / Hin Kong is the unofficial digital nomad and yoga hub β organic cafes, sunset views, a tight community. Thong Sala is more practical for day-to-day errands and slightly cheaper. Both are covered in more detail on our sights & places and accommodation pages.
