All Koh Phangan Beaches 2026

Koh Phangan has more than 20 named beaches — from the lively Haad Rin to tiny coves most tourists never find. The island is small, so most beaches are reachable by motorbike in 20–40 minutes (except the east coast, where the road is a mountain track and a couple of beaches are boat-only). Every beach below has its own photo and a link to find it on Google Maps.
The Big Six
Full Moon PartyHaad Rin
The famous one — home of the Full Moon Party.
West CoastHaad Yao
Long, calm, and one of the best all-rounders.
Yoga & SunsetsSrithanu
Rocky shore, hippy village, incredible sunsets.
SnorkellingHaad Salad
Turquoise bay with a coral reef right offshore.
East CoastThong Nai Pan
Two scenic bays, less touristy, mountain road in.
Boat or Trek OnlyBottle Beach
Remote, wild, and one of the most beautiful on the island.

NorthChaloklum Beach
A real working fishing village bay — longtail boats on the sand, mountains behind, calm enough to swim. Not a postcard beach, but genuinely lived-in.
NorthMalibu Beach
West of Chaloklum, with some of the finest sand on the island and odd little round trees along the shore. Clearest water November–May — the rest of the year it's more of a stroll than a swim.
EastThan Sadet Beach
The beach next to the royal waterfall of the same name — good swimming year-round and a lot quieter than the west coast. Combine with a visit to the falls.
East (boat only)Haad Yuan
Boat-access-only beach south of Thong Nai Pan, backed by jungle hillside. Home to Eden Garden's Saturday party above the bay — swim in the morning, party at night.
East (boat only)Haad Tien
A small, sheltered rocky cove next to Haad Yuan, reachable the same way — by longtail boat. Quiet by day, known for weekend parties.
NorthwestMae Haad
A wide sandbar walks you straight out to Koh Ma, a small uninhabited islet just offshore — one of the best shore-snorkelling spots on the island.
SouthBan Tai Beach
A long, quiet stretch near Thong Sala with views across to Koh Samui. Not a swimming showcase, but an easy, uncrowded sunset walk close to town.
WestHin Kong
A low-key bay near Thong Sala with budget bungalows and a working, unpolished feel — wide sand flats at low tide, fishing boats moored offshore.
A Few More Small Coves Worth Knowing
Tiny cove at the east end of Chaloklum Bay — coral snorkelling right off the sand.
Just past Srithanu heading north — a quieter lagoon-like stretch with a handful of bars.
The bay right by Thong Sala pier — granite boulders, a decent sunset if you're stuck in town.
A small, calmer beach within walking distance of Haad Rin — an escape from the Full Moon crowds without leaving the peninsula.
