Cafes & Restaurants on Phangan 2026

Updated: July 2026

Street food — the best choice

Thai street food on Phangan is excellent and cheap. Pad Thai, fried rice, Thai curries, fresh fruit smoothies. Evening markets in Thong Sala and Haad Rin.

Open late — the honest answer

Straight answer: there's no genuine 24-hour cafe on Koh Phangan, and if you see a site claiming otherwise, don't plan around it. What actually exists: a few cafes in Srithanu and Thong Sala run until around 22:30, and one popular spot in Chaloklum stays open from morning into late evening. Beyond that, the Thong Sala Night Market is genuinely the latest reliable food option — stalls set up from around 5pm and keep going until 10pm or later, well past when most sit-down places have closed. For anything after that, 7-Eleven (several 24-hour locations across the island) is realistically your only true round-the-clock option — see our shops guide.
