Muay Thai Gyms on Koh Phangan

Every real camp on the island, honestly compared

Koh Phangan

Muay Thai is a much bigger deal on this island than most first-time visitors expect — there are genuinely several real camps, not just one hotel gym with a punching bag. Here's every one worth knowing about, with real prices where we could confirm them.

🥊 Diamond Muay Thai

Nai Wok, west coast (Srithanu area) — 2 minutes' walk from the beach

First class 300 baht, then 400 baht/class. Weekly package around $185, monthly around $580 (includes bungalow accommodation, pool, on-site bar).

Running since 2011, one of the longer-established camps. The train-and-stay package is the main draw — good option if you want to actually live at the gym for a week or a month rather than commute in for single classes.

🥊 Venom Muay Thai

West coast area

Train & Stay packages from 5,500 baht/week.

Also runs Venom Boxing Stadium — real fight nights on the 28th of every month at 9pm, open to watch even if you're not training there. Worth checking out even just as a spectator if your dates line up.

🥊 MAA — Muay Thai & Martial Arts

West coast

Check current rates directly — accommodation packages available.

The gym with the most comfortable on-site accommodation of the group — 30m² air-conditioned bungalows with a private garden and balcony. Note the aircon is for the accommodation, not the training space itself; like every Muay Thai gym on the island, you train in open-air heat, that's just the sport.

🥊 Phangan Muay Thai and Fitness Gym

Central island

Check current rates directly.

The island's original Muay Thai gym, running 15+ years, training both Thai and foreign students of all levels. A solid, no-frills option if you want serious training without the resort-camp packaging some of the newer places lean into.

🥊 Evolve Fitness / Evolve Health Club

Srithanu

Day pass 150 baht, weekly pass 500 baht.

More of a general fitness club with Muay Thai as one offering among CrossFit-style classes and gym equipment, rather than a dedicated fight camp — good if you want to mix Muay Thai with regular gym work in the same membership.

Choosing between them

If you want a full immersive camp experience — live on-site, train twice a day, eat, sleep, repeat — Diamond, Venom, or MAA's stay packages are the way to go. If you just want to add Muay Thai to a normal trip without committing to a camp, Phangan Muay Thai and Fitness Gym or a drop-in class anywhere on this list works fine. Evolve is the pick if you want Muay Thai alongside general gym/CrossFit training under one membership.

Prices and packages change — always confirm current rates directly with the gym before travelling around a specific booking, and see our sports overview for everything else active on the island.
