Ferry prices went up again — here's the actual new numbers
·Phangan Guide

Nothing dramatic here, but worth having the actual current number rather than an outdated one floating around from an old blog post. Seatran Ferry bumped its fares back in March, and the increase is still in effect.

What actually changed

  • Don Sak → Koh Samui: 170 baht → 180 baht
  • Don Sak → Koh Phangan: 240 baht → 250 baht

Both took effect March 14, 2026. Seatran's stated reason was rising global fuel and energy costs — a 10-baht bump per route, not huge, but if you're budgeting off an older guide (including some of our own older posts, honestly) it's worth updating the number in your head.

Worth knowing

This is Seatran specifically — other operators (Lomprayah, Raja Ferry) set their own prices and don't necessarily move in lockstep. If you're comparing options on our ferry guide, always check the current price at booking rather than trusting any single number as gospel — fuel-linked adjustments like this one aren't rare.
