TakeCare Clinic just expanded what it offers on Phangan — worth knowing before you need it

Not the most exciting headline, but genuinely useful — the kind of thing you want to already know about rather than googling in a panic at 11pm.
What's expanded
TakeCare Clinic, part of a network with locations across Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pattaya, and Koh Lanta as well as here on Phangan, has broadened its service list. It now covers travel medicine consultations, wound care specifically for coral cuts and reef injuries (a very Phangan-specific need, honestly), STI testing, IV drip therapy for rapid rehydration, minor surgical procedures, prescription refills, and health certifications for diving. There's also ongoing care aimed at digital nomads and long-term visitors, not just short-stay tourists.
Why this is worth bookmarking
A lot of the actual clinic visits people end up needing here aren't dramatic emergencies — they're a bad coral scrape that's gotten infected, a stomach bug from street food or a big night out, or needing a dive medical cert sorted quickly before a course starts. Having a clinic that explicitly lists these as normal, expected services (rather than making you feel like you're wasting their time with something minor) matters more than it sounds.
We're not sponsored by them or anyone else mentioned here — just flagging it because "where do I actually go for X" comes up constantly in traveller group chats.
