St. Seraphim Orthodox Church — Koh Phangan's Own Orthodox Church

Genuinely rare for an island this size

St. Seraphim Orthodox Church is the first Orthodox church ever built on Koh Phangan, consecrated by Bishop Anthony of Zvenigorod — the kind of institution most islands this size simply don't have. It's a one-domed church dedicated to St. Seraphim of Sarov, and it serves the island's Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Bulgarian and other Orthodox Christian residents and visitors, welcoming Orthodox Christians from any background.

Visiting

Open to visitors daily from 9am to 5pm, with guided tours specifically on weekends at 11am and 2pm. On-site parking exists but fills up quickly on weekends, so arrive early or expect to park a short walk away if you're coming for a weekend tour.
