Not really a "visa" in the usual sense

Thailand Privilege (rebranded from "Thailand Elite" in 2023) is a paid membership program run by Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd — a state-owned company under the Ministry of Tourism — rather than a visa category you qualify for based on income or assets. You pay a one-time membership fee and get a long-stay visa plus VIP concierge benefits (airport service, help with paperwork, etc.) for the whole membership period.

2026 pricing tiers

  • Bronze — 650,000 baht for 5 years, a promotional tier open to new applications only until September 30, 2026
  • Gold — 900,000 baht for 5 years
  • Platinum — 1,500,000 baht for 10 years
  • Diamond — 2,500,000 baht for 15 years
  • Reserve — 5,000,000 baht for 20 years, by invitation only

Who this actually makes sense for

There's no income or asset test — the entire barrier is the price tag. It genuinely suits people who can afford the upfront cost and specifically want to never deal with visa runs, annual renewals, or paperwork again for years at a stretch. If you'd rather qualify on income instead of paying a lump sum, look at the DTV (far cheaper, shorter validity) or the LTR (free of charge if you clear the income bar, longer-term tax benefits).
